MOVIMËNT, NATURAL ENERGY PARKS IN ALTA BADIA

MOVIMËNT ALTA BADIA OPENS ITS DOORS: THE FAMILY-FUN SUMMER SEASON IS ABOUT TO BEGIN

Enthusiasm and adrenalin have returned to the heights, and the energy is flowing thick and fast through Movimënt once again. The green mountain plateau of the Alta Badia reopened on 10 June, and the season will carry on through to 01 October. It promises to be a summer filled with bike rides in the countryside, day-trips, family games, adventure and hikes.

SAFETY

This summer, Movimënt will be welcoming families and sports enthusiasts in full safety. This year, all forms of tickets - including the Movimënt Daily Card, the Alta Badia Summer and the Dolomiti SuperSummer - will be available for purchase online (www.dolomitisupersummer.com/shop) and via contactless payment. The procedure has been simplified by the QR code readers installed at all the cable cars in Alta Badia, which read the code directly from your phone, and the pick-up boxes installed in various strategic points where visitors can pick up multi-day tickets 24/7. Staff will be disinfecting the cable cars and chairlifts on a daily basis.

FAMILY-FRIENDLY

However, the greatest source of wellbeing in the park is, quite simply, the mountain - the undisputed star of the show: It offers the chance to enjoy outdoor sports, breathe in a full lungful of 2000 m air, and reconnect with nature. A natural setting, tailor-made for children, who can look forward to kids' parks, an activities calendar, and recreational activity service and, for the youngest of all, the comfortable strollers purpose-designed to deal with the mountain trails, available for rental at the Piz La Ila, Piz Sorega and Col Alt.

A jam-packed programme of sports and group activities will also be making a return this year. Children can head out together with recreational activity leaders on geocaching GPS treasure-hunt tours, learn how to use a compass and map on orienteering excursions and take part in e-mountain bike tours for adults and kids of 14 years old and over.

The "Movimënt dles Ês" ("World of Bees") event is held every Thursday: Together with a guide, children follow a trail at MMH Movi Falimy Apart-hotel. Along the stages of the route they will learn countless fascinating facts about bees through themed games, beehives which can be viewed from the inside and mini-challenges. Five meetings with a real beekeeper are on the programme for August and September: He will guide the bee-discovery walks, which also feature a laboratory tasting session based on a variety of different types of honey.

BIKING AND OUTDOOR FUN

A burst of energy, adrenaline and vitality: High-altitude sport is a gift of intensity that gets the oxygen pumping in your brain and muscles. One of the most popular activities is the "Bike Beats" flow trail over ground or beaten sand with small obstacles, north shores, bumps and jumps of varying difficulty, and phototraps in strategic positions to immortalise your descent.

This year, from the day of opening onwards, you can get right up to the heights and make your way from one village to the next in Alta Badia on the cable car and chairlift alone by taking, to name but one, the La Fraina and Bamby chairlifts from the Piz Sorega and Piz La Ila. An easy, eco-friendly way to get to every corner of the Movimënt parks in comfort, on foot and using clean, green transport fuelled by renewable energy sources.

SMARTWORKING, MOVIMËNT-STYLE

A temporary office in the heart of the Dolomites. This summer, Movimënt is reopening its two smart-working stations at the Piz La Ila and the Bioch area, in peaceful, panoramic positions. Electricity is supplied by photovoltaic panels. And once you switch off your laptop, you can leave it in the lockers and head off to recharge your own batteries on the fields and trails in the heart of the countryside.
