The Pralongià chairlift was built in 1967 in order to link the village of Corvara to the area of Campolongo, Pralongià and Cherz. It starts from the Planac area between Corvara and the Campolongo pass. This ski lift opened new runs towards Corvara and also to reach San Cassiano.
After 28 years from its last renovation, in the winter season 2014/15, the Pralongià three-seater chairlift has been replaced by a modern, 6-seater chairlift with automatic pickup, with an hourly capacity of 1,800 people, reaching the station at the top in less than 4 minutes.
This lift connects Corvara not only to the area of the Cherz on the border between Alto Adige and Veneto, but also to San Cassiano and, as a result, to the entire area of Alta Badia. In summer, after about half an hour's walk, you reach the Spaghettino Park Pralongià, the Movimënt Park, where you can discover all the curious stories of insects and life beneath the green meadows of Pralongià.
